Small Bear Sighted In Mercer County: Police
A small black bear was sighted on Thursday morning, June 20 in West Windsor. The sighting occurred on Village Road West near the Mercer Oaks Golf Course, West Windsor police said. Bear sightings can be reported to the New Jersey Department of Fish & Wildlife at 877-927-6337.

: Black Bear Sighted On Jersey Shore
Police in Stafford Township issued an alert that a black bear had been sighted on the Jersey Shore. The black bear has been located in the wooded area on Route 9 in Manahawkin, police said early Wednesday afternoon, June 29. He was last seen heading north in the area of Cedar Bridge Road across from Southern Regional High School. "Please stay away from the area and do not attempt to approach the bear," police said. A brand-new video shows two pigs fighting a black bear that crawled into their pen in Connecticut. WTNH, the ABC-TV affiliate in New Haven, published the video on Friday, March 18, which was sent from the owner of the pigs in the Litchfield County town of New Milford. The Ring camera footage shows the pigs fighting and chasing away a black bear after the bear crawled into their pen. The owner, Kevin David, told the news outlet the pigs are doing well and he believes the bear is a cub. Watch the full video on the WTNH YouTube channel.

Black Bear Visits Cliffside Park Neighborhood Overlooking NYC
PHOTOS/VIDEO: A young black bear became a local sensation while toddling through a Cliffside Park neighborhood atop the Palisades. “Could you believe it?” Inga Bondarenko wrote Tuesday in tandem with a couple of photos. “A black bear on our front lawn! I couldn’t believe my eyes.” Reports came in from a stretch of several blocks, including near the corner of Palisade and Lafayette avenues.
