Tolls Going Up On Atlantic City Expressway Tolls on the Atlantic City Expressway are going up next year, officials said on Thursday, Nov. 17. Starting Jan. 1, 2023, cash tolls on the 44-mile Expressway’s Egg Harbor and Route 50 toll plazas will increase from $4.40 to $4.55 for a passenger vehicle. Expressway tolls are going up by 3% from year to year, said Kimberly Testa, a spokeswoman with the South Jersey Transportation Authority. Tolls for the average Expressway trip will go from $2.44 to $2.53, Testa said. SJTA officials cited inflation and increased expenses as reasons for the toll increase. The new toll rates are lower…

Workers Killed By Train On Bridge Connecting NJ, PA Identified A pair of workers who were struck and killed by a train on the Benjamin Franklin Bridge connecting New Jersey and Pennsylvania last week have been identified by colleagues. Donato G. Fiocca, 53, and Victor R. Martins, 55, were working on the bridge when they were fatally struck in Camden around 9:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14. Both men were members of the Cement Masons and Plasterers' Local 592, Fiocca for 25 years and Martins for 8. Body Found In Hallway, Camden Prosecutor Says Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting in the hallway of a North Camden apartment building. A 30-year-old man was found dead Sunday with gunshot wounds inside Northgate One Apartments - located near the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.
