Four people from Ocean County were indicted for dismembering the body of a Toms River killed in his home, authorities said. Two Boaters Rescued At Night From Sailboat Stuck Along Jersey Shore, Firefighters Say
Two people were rescued from a sailboat caught in choppy waves at night off the coast of Brigantine, officials said. A 35-foot sailboat got stuck in shoals at around 9 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, the Brigantine firefighters union said in a Facebook post. The boat was sailing from Barnegat to Absecon Inlet. Driver Falls Asleep, Causes Power Outage For 1,000 In Barnegat, Police Say
Nearly 1,000 people are without power in Barnegat Sunday morning, June 30 due to a car that ran off the road when its driver fell asleep at the wheel and struck a utility pole, police said. The 23-year-old woman crashed a 2019 Honda eastbound on West Bay Avenue, snapping the pole and leaving 1,000 homes in the dark, police said. Atlantic City Electric was on scene making repairs and restoring power to the area. The driver was treated on scene by Quality Medical but refused further medical attention.

An Egg Harbor Township woman was accused of owning two spas in Ocean County that engaged in prostitution, authorities said. Kani Peng, 53, was charged with promoting prostitution, maintaining a nuisance, financial facilitation, and engaging in prostitution. Dylan DeStefano died in a motorcycle crash on Wednesday, Oct. 12 of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident, his obituary says. He was 19 years old.
