UPDATE: A Morris County woman was formally sentenced Tuesday to 180 days in jail followed by five years probation for deliberately drowning a 10-week-old puppy in a West Milford lake. Superior Court Judge Marilyn C. Clark, sitting in Paterson, approved the terms of a plea deal under which Tonya Fea, 49, must complete 100 days of community service following her release. A South Jersey woman is facing charges in three different towns after abandoning several dogs in a forest and paying for parvo treatment using a stolen credit card, authorities said. Trouble for 45-year-old Jodi Wozniak began on Sept. 16, when five German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois were found in the woods near N. A Camden County dog-breeding couple who gave sick puppies to clients have been slapped with animal cruelty charges, authorities said Friday. People told police the puppy showed signs of illness quickly after being bought from Casey Gleockler, 40, and his wife, Kristina Gleockler, 39, at their home in Atco in August, Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Waterford Township Police chief Daniel Cormaney said. One of the puppies died the next night, authorities said. Goats, Birds Seized In Jersey City Cruelty Incident Possibly Involving Witchcraft
Goats and birds were surrendered in an animal cruelty incident Thursday in Jersey City, officials said. Officers saw the animals in the home at 141 Van Horne St., in the afternoon hours.
