A Monmouth County cocktail bar picked up another national recognition after just one year of serving specialty drinks. Esquire named La Otra in Aberdeen Township on its list of 42 Best Bars in America for 2024. Authorities Investigating Pedestrian Fatality In Aberdeen
A fatal pedestrian crash in Aberdeen Township is under active investigation, authorities said. Shortly after 11:15 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, members of the Aberdeen Township Police Department responded to the northbound lanes of Route 35 between Prospect Avenue and Amboy Road to find the victim, an adult male resident of Aberdeen. Philadelphia Man Accused Of Kidnapping 2 Girls, Driving Them To Jersey Shore: Police
A 43-year-old man from Philadelphia is accused of kidnapping two girls and sexually assaulting one of them in Monmouth County, authorities said. Benjamin Pessin was charged with one count of kidnapping, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of aggravated sexual assault, Aberdeen Township police said. A former Aberdeen Township police officer has been sentenced to nearly a year in jail for tampering with evidence on two separate occasions last year, authorities said. Philip M. A Pennsylvania man admitted in federal court in Trenton that he participated in a drug ring that trafficked major quantities of heroin and cocaine into the Raritan Bayshore area. Guy Jackson, 47, was the 10th defendant snagged in a federal sweep to plead guilty in exchange for leniency at sentencing.
