Central Jersey Man Stabbed Ex-Girlfriend, Her Father: Police

A 31-year-old man from Central Jersey has been charged with attempted murder in connection with an attack on his ex-girlfriend and her father, authorities sais.

On Friday, Feb. 11 at 12:21 a.m., South River police were dispatched to a borough residence for a disturbance. Police found two victims laying on the ground with multiple stab wounds each. Medical aid was provided to the victims and they were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

An investigation determined that Jonathan Deavereaux of Plainsboro, had stabbed his ex-girlfriend and her father, police said. Deavereaux was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, and one count of violating a final restraining order, police said.

Deavereaux was being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center.
