A convicted killer who aimed to "flood the streets" of Trenton with a "motherlode" of heroin, Roberts, 53, was sentenced this week to what will be a minimum of 17 years in federal prison for his role in a drug ring that once dominated the capital city. 2 Females Shot, 1 Dead In Carteret; Suspect Caught, Prosecutor Says (

Authorities have released additional information in the double shooting Wednesday, June 12 in Carteret. Two females were found having suffered gunshot wounds on Roosevelt Avenue around 9 a.m., and were airlifted to area hospitals, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Carteret Police Chief Dennis McFadden said. As of 2:30 p.m., one victim had died and the other remains critical, Ciccone and McFadden said. The father of Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley was arrested with a loaded gun in a New York City traffic stop this week, police said. Police stopped Alibay Barkley, 55, of Whitehall, PA, in a 2019 Chevrolet Corvette with an obstructed license plates that didn't match the car, at East 140 St. and Third Avenue around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, the NYPD said. A Howell Township man was accused of stabbing his mother to death in their home, authorities said. Robert Parody, 25, was charged with first-degree murder and a weapons offense, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release.
