Preteen Sexually Assaulted By Bergen County Man, 33, Prosecutor Says
A 33-year-old Bergen County man has been arrested on child sex assault charges, authorities said. Junior Reyes-Tejada, of Lodi, is accused of sexually assaulting a child under 13 years old in Lodi, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. The BCPO's Special Victims Unit was contacted on Wednesday, Sept. 25 regarding the accusations, Musella said. The 61-year-old man and former chief of a local fire department has been indicted in a crash that left a 15-year-old girl dead, authorities in Bergen County said. A New Jersey family has filed a lawsuit against a funeral home alleging that their loved one's body had been damaged so badly while in their care that they were unable to hold an open casket service. Elmer Jimenez spent years working in kosher catering after immigrating from Oaxaca, Mexico to Teaneck in 2007. Power Outage Update: Storm Leaves Hundreds Of NJ Residents In The Dark
A storm system that swept through the region Saturday afternoon, Aug. 3 left hundreds of North Jersey residents without power. As of 5:40 p.m., about 950 PSE&G customers in Hackensack did not have power, its website shows. In Closter, 145 Orange & Rockland customers were in the dark. In West Milford, more than 500 residents did not have power. Most of those customers were JCP&L. The storms, which brought temps down to the high-70s, had subsided as of press time.

A sex offender convicted in both New Jersey and New York has been arrested once again, this time for stalking a 19-year-old woman in two Bergen County towns, police said.
