Police requested a temporary lockdown of Newton Medical Center after receiving a report that a possible tenant of 183 High St. may have been seen entering the building carrying a suspected shotgun around 8:25 a.m., Chief Robert Osborn Jr. told Daily Voice. The tenant and weapon were found in a suite at 183 High St. and determined not to be a threat to the public, Osborn said. Edwin Greene, 80, called officers from the parking garage under the Newton Town Centre complex stating that he had a gun and was suicidal around 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 25, police said. Love Triangle Dispute: 14-Year-Old Boy Stabbed At NJ 'Gingerbread Castle' A 21-year-old New Jersey man was charged with stabbing and seriously injuring a 14-year-old boy at Sussex County's Gingerbread Castle in what police are calling a love triangle dispute.  The man, later identified as Steven Rogers, attacked the teen in a fight over a former Gingerbread Castle employee on Dec. 3, Hamburg Police Lt. Jason Tangorra said. The woman involved in the triangle was charged last October with sexually assaulting the 14-year-old stabbing victim, Tangorra said.
