A 23-year-old man from Trenton was shot dead in his car, authorities said. Jhosse Tolentino was struck multiple times by gunfire and killed, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri. At 6:56 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, Trenton police responded to a ShotSpotter notification reporting multiple shots fired near Lamberton and Federal streets, Onofri said. Two people have been charged in connection with a fatal shooting at a bar near a New Jersey State Prison in Trenton, authorities said. A 17-year-old Trenton male is charged with murder, attempted murder and multiple weapons offenses. A 23-year-old man was stabbed dead during a high school basketball tournament in Trenton on Thursday night, Feb. 16, authorities said.
