Freak Accident Kills Boy, 12, Playing In NJ Backyard: Police A New Jersey boy was killed when a tree fell on him in a backyard, authorities said. Lucas Schwartz, 12, was identified as the victim of the Eldridge Avenue incident in Lawrence Township on a GoFundMe page.  Police said he'd been playing with a friend in the backyard of a home when gusty winds blew the tree over, and it fell onto him around 12:09 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14.  Officers freed Schwartz from under the tree and began CPR. Paramedics rushed Lucas to Capital Health System Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. Driver Charged With Trying To Kill A Man With Car In Mercer County: Police A South Jersey man has been charged with attempted murder after striking a man with his vehicle, authorities said. Petar Armbruster III, 54, of Burlington, allegedly followed the man and his girlfriend to Halo Farm in Lawrenceville on Saturday, July 8 at 5:08 p.m. after a dispute at a 7-Eleven store, Lawrence Township police said.  Armbruster allegedly parked his vehicle in the parking lot of Halo Farm and waited for the couple to arrive at the farmer’s market.
