A Bergen County man was killed when his tractor-trailer went off an interstate ramp in Camden County, authorities said. Jorge Valdivia of North Arlington died in the crash on Monday, Nov. 4, a state police spokesperson said. Firefighters from multiple departments in South Jersey battled an apartment fire, authorities said. On Tuesday, July 30, at approximately 9:20 p.m., Gloucester Township Police Officers were dispatched to 1341 Blackwood Clementon Road, Millbridge Apartments, Building 900, in response to a reported apartment fire. A crash with serious injuries closed all lanes of Interstate 295 in Camden County, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 25 on the southbound ramp to Exit 26S in Bellmawr, according to NJDOT. Based on a preliminary investigation, a Honda was traveling southbound on I-295. In the area of milepost 27.3, the Honda ran off the roadway, impacted the concrete barrier, and overturned, New Jersey State Police said. A Mays Landing teen was criminally charged two months after another teen was shot in Atlantic City, authorities said. Quamir Kirkland, 18, was given his charges while in the Atlantic County Justice Facility in an unrelated case, the Atlantic City Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, July 16. Police activity that closed Route 42 in Bellmawr for hours has come to an end. For seven hours, the man stood on the ledge of the I-295 overpass, closing Route 42 below in both directions on Thursday afternoon, April 4 near Exit 14. A 39-year-old man from Camden County has pleaded guilty in connection with a stabbing, authorities said.
