Selvin Omar Garcia-Ramirez, 21, of Bridgeton, is charged with murder and a weapons offense in the July Fourth stabbing death of Edwin Lopez-Parra, 26, also of Bridgeton. Police were called to the 200 block of Atlantic Street in Bridgeton at about 3:15 a.m. and found the victim bleeding and unconscious near the door to his residence. He later died of his injuries. Cumberland County Man Gets 10 Years For Sexually Assaulting Child, Authorities Say A 39-year-old Cumberland County man has been sentenced to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison for sexually assaulting a child multiple times over a decade, authorities said. Juan Hernandez-Antonio, of Bridgeton, was charged in April 2022 with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and child endangerment, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office. Vineland Man Charged With Break-In At South Jersey Business: Police A 64-year-old man was charged with breaking into a business in Bridgeton, authorities said. David Carty, of Vineland, was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief, according to Bridgeton police. Carty is accused of breaking into Pastelmex bakery and cafe at 694 N. Pearl St. at about 11 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, police said. He was being held at Cumberland County Jail.
