Panhandler Threatens To Kill NJ Grocery Store Worker, Police Say
A 40-year-old man threatened to kill a Clifton grocery store employee before pulling what appeared to be a handgun from his waistband, authorities said.
Officers responded to Food Universe on Lexington Avenue on Friday, Aug. 28, around 2:03 p.m., after a 911 caller reported a man with a gun, Clifton Police Det. Lt. Robert Anderson said.
Adolfo Barrientos, whose last known address was in Paterson, had been panhandling, causing a disturbance, and disrupting business inside the store, Anderson said.

Maryland roads turned deadly again and again over the weekend.
Seven people were killed in four separate crashes between early Saturday, Aug. 29, and Sunday afternoon, including a mother and daughter from Virginia and three people who died in the weekend's final wreck, according to Maryland State Police.
The crashes stretched across Carroll, Montgomery, Harford and Allegany counties, with three unfolding in less than 24 hours.

Sex Abuse Case Fugitive Wanted Since 2007 Caught Speeding In Dutchess County, Jailed: Cops
A man accused of fleeing the country after posting bail in a nearly two-decade-old Westchester County sex abuse case was finally caught when police pulled him over for speeding in Dutchess County, authorities said.
Jose Tacuri, 50, currently a resident of Wappingers Falls, was arrested in the Village of Red Hook on Thursday, Aug. 27, Red Hook Police announced on Sunday, Aug. 30.
The events leading up to Tacuri's arrest began around 12:50 p.m., when an officer pulled him over for speeding on South Broadway, police said.
