Man Killed In Route 31 Crash After Car Overturns In Ditch: Police
A 56-year-old Columbia resident was killed in a car crash on Route 31 in Warren County on the morning of Monday, Oct. 14, authorities said. At 5:43 a.m., officers responded to the car crash where they found a Chevy Avalanche had overturned, Washington Township police said. A preliminary investigation revealed the Chevy was traveling southbound on Route 31 north when it left the roadway, striking the guardrail and bridge abutment before rolling over into a ditch, police said. Crash Involving Pedestrian Shuts Down Central Jersey Road, Police Say
Police were at the scene of a crash involving a pedestrian in a Monmouth County township, authorities said. Officers responded to the crash on Bethany Road on Monday, Aug. 12, Holmdel police said in a Facebook post at 9:15 a.m. The crash investigation closed Bethany between Hillcrest and Line roads. Police didn't mention how many vehicles were involved or the condition of the pedestrian. A pair of water main breaks have diverted traffic in South Brunswick, authorities said. The first break closed Route 522 eastbound between Stouts Lane and New Road, according to South Brunswick police. It created a 10-foot-wide sinkhole. The second break closed a shoulder along Route 1 near Dow Jones. Breaking - 2 water main breaks in South Brunswick. # 1 - This one on Rt 522 near Stouts Ln has created a 10 foot sinkhole.
