'The Couture Surgeon' Julie Ferrauiola Dies, 44 Dr. Julie Ferrauiola, a Ridgewood plastic surgeon known for her artistry, compassion, and technical skill, died on Jan. 17, at 44 years old.  Born and raised in Tenafly, Julie was an artist from a young age and a New Jersey Governor’s Scholar of the Fine Arts, according to her obituary on the Barrett Leber Funeral Home website. Julie initially pursued fashion, earning a degree from the prestigious Parsons School of Design, but later transitioned to medicine. The harrowing footage, shared on Saturday, Nov. 30, shows the 20-year-old Israeli-American, who hails from Tenafly, crying and pleading for his life in a message directed to Israeli and American leaders.
