Officials have released the identity of the Ocean Township man who was hit by a New Jersey Transit train and killed on New Year's Eve in Middletown. Dilip Shah, 77, was identified as the victim who died on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2024, according to a NJ Transit spokesperson. Man, 26, Killed On Bridge By NJ Transit Train Identified
A Middletown man has been named as the pedestrian who was struck by a New Jersey Transit train and killed in Monmouth County, officials said. Michael Feldmann, 26, was identified as the victim in the crash on Wednesday, Dec. 4, an NJ Transit spokesperson said on Monday, Dec. 16. The North Jersey Coast Line train hit Feldmann on the Normandy Road bridge in Middletown at around 7:25 a.m. None of the 120 customers and crew members on the train were injured. Northeast Corridor Train Kills Woman In Central Jersey, NJ Transit Says
A woman died when she was hit by a train in South Brunswick on Veterans Day, officials said. The woman was struck between Jersey Avenue and Princeton Junction at around 9:35 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, a New Jersey Transit spokesperson said. Her identity wasn't released as of Tuesday, Nov. 12. None of the 110 customers and crew members on the train were injured. They were transferred to a following train. The Northeast Corridor train had left New York Penn Station at 8:37 p.m. It was due to arrive in Trenton at 10:07 p.m. Amtrak and NJ Transit police were investigating the crash.

Freak Accident Kills Boy, 12, Playing In NJ Backyard: Police
A New Jersey boy was killed when a tree fell on him in a backyard, authorities said. Lucas Schwartz, 12, was identified as the victim of the Eldridge Avenue incident in Lawrence Township on a GoFundMe page. Police said he'd been playing with a friend in the backyard of a home when gusty winds blew the tree over, and it fell onto him around 12:09 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14.
