Man On Horse Helps NJ Cops Catch Hit, Run Driver: Police
A man riding a horse assisted police in Riverside Township with catching a hit-and-run driver on Saturday, May 31, authorities said.
That morning, officers were called to Middleton Street after a woman heard a loud crash and saw a vehicle speeding off after hitting her parked car, Riverside police said.
That’s when PJ and his horse, Shiny, showed up, police said.

A 59-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged after he shot at Secaucus police on Sunday, June 1, authorities said.
At 7:45 p.m., officers responded to a County Avenue apartment after a woman's phone was snatched by a man, later identified as Dhanraj Dass, Secaucus police said. The man also threatened her with a handgun, police said.
An hour later, officers located Dass at 25 County Ave, observing a handgun protruding from the doorway, police said.

Foreign Exchange Student Nabbed In $35K Howell Scam: Police
A 21-year-old foreign exchange student from India, residing in Scranton, was arrested and charged on Thursday, May 22, with attempting to collect $80,000 in a phony Amazon scam that defrauded a Howell resident, authorities said.
A Howell resident tried to replace an Amazon order delivered to the wrong address and while searching for Amazon's customer service, was led to an imposter phone number, Howell police said. A scammer posing as an Amazon employee convinced the victim to withdraw $35,000 to "fix" their Amazon and bank accounts, police said. A man later arrived at the victim's home…
Videos: 3 Stabbed, 70+ Arrested Memorial Day Weekend In Seaside Heights
A curfew has been installed in Seaside Heights after more than 70 people were arrested amid multiple stabbings on the boardwalk Memorial Day weekend.
Three people were stabbed and 52 adults and 21 juveniles were arrested between 6 a.m. Friday, May 23 and 6 a.m. Monday, May 26, Seaside Heights Detective Steve Korman said.
On Saturday, May 24, at 8 p.m., officers responded to the Ocean Block of Webster Avenue and found a 21-year-old stabbed in the back, Korman said. The victim was airlifted to a nearby hospital and declined to cooperate with police, Korman said.
