At 8:47 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, officers responded to a hit and run crash on Mount Grove Road in Clinton Township, Clinton Township Police. Brian Kelemen, the driver of the striking vehicle was located near a school after dropping off his child, police said.
During a motor vehicle stop Kelemen, an Annandale resident, displayed visible signs of impairment, police said. His vehicle was impounded, and he was arrested and transported for processing, police said.. He subsequently refused to provide samples of his breath for testing. Kelemen was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, refusal to submit to breath testing, refusal to submit to a chemical test, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to yield right of way, police said. He was released pending a court date.
At 3:04 p.m. that same day, Kelemen arrived at a school and picked up a child, police said. Kelemen, driving a black Honda, was stopped in the driveway of a Mount Grove Road residence and displayed visible signs of impairment, police said. Kelemen was arrested and transported for processing, police said. He subsequently refused to provide samples of his breath for testing, police said. A search warrant was requested and granted for the collection of Kelemen's blood, police said. Samples were collected, and Mr. Kelemen was transported to the Hunterdon County Jail.
He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, refusal to submit to breath testing, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, police said.
