These Two New Jersey Counties Flipped From Red To Blue In 2020 As President Joe Biden cruised to victory in New Jersey in the 2020 presidential election, he got some help from two counties that went his way after voting for former President Donald Trump in 2016: Morris and Gloucester. Morris County went to Biden, 51.14% to 46.90%, 153,881 votes to 141,134 votes. It was a remarkable turnaround for a county that hadn't voted Democrat at the presidential level since Lyndon Johnson defeated Barry Goldwater in 1964.  In 2016, Morris County voted for Trump, who defeated Clinton 126,071 votes to 115,249 votes, 49.72% to 45.46%. Man Killed In Route 31 Crash After Car Overturns In Ditch: Police A 56-year-old Columbia resident was killed in a car crash on Route 31 in Warren County on the morning of Monday, Oct. 14, authorities said. At 5:43 a.m., officers responded to the car crash where they found a Chevy Avalanche had overturned, Washington Township police said. A preliminary investigation revealed the Chevy was traveling southbound on Route 31 north when it left the roadway, striking the guardrail and bridge abutment before rolling over into a ditch, police said. The driver of the Chevy was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Route 31 was closed for three and a half hours…

Man Convicted Of Killing Girlfriend Stabbed 29 Times In Bergen County A 59-year-old Bergen County man has been convicted in the killing of his 51-year-old girlfriend in 2021, authorities announced. Patrick J. Camilli, 59, of Washington Township, was found guilty after a four-week trial beginning last September in the death of Mary Huber, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. Camilli was found lying on top of Mary E. Huber on the floor of a Lexington Township Court home on Oct. 24, 2021, just after midnight, Musella said. A knife was found near Camilli at the scene. Twin Rutgers Grads, 23, Killed In Crash Were Each Other's Closest Friends, Obituaries Say Services have been finalized for a pair of 23-year-old twin brothers killed in a Vineland crash. John and Patrick Mahoney, both of Washington Township, died in a collision on Tuesday, June 4 at Union and Mays Landing Roads, as previously reported by Daily Voice.  Police said John was driving a Toyota Yaris when he failed to yield to a Ford F-250 operated by an 81-year-old, which caused the crash.
