A New Jersey mother of two drowned while saving a struggling girl from the Delaware River one day before what would have been her 34th birthday, according to authorities and a fundraiser for her family. NJ Man Shot, Killed: Prosecutor
A 25-year-old Lawnside man was fatally shot on Friday, Aug. 21, authorities said. At 5:50 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at West Hodges Avenue and found the victim, George Rivera, had been transported via private vehicle to Cooper University Hospital, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay and Lawnside Police Captain William Plenty said. A 29-year-old man was shot and killed in Trenton Sunday, Aug. 23, authorities said. At 11:35 p.m., officers responded to 629 Whittaker Ave. and found the man with a gunshot wound, Trenton police said.
