That's because the Mahopac resident and NYPD officer has spent years helping, and saving, others. Lou Alice "Buddy" Baker Pierce, 91, Yorktown YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Lou Alice (“Buddy”) Baker Pierce passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side on Saturday, Dec. 16. Pierce was born in Corning and graduated from Northside High School in 1944. She developed a natural drawing ability and worked as a draftsman at Ingersol Rand for many years. She did architectural drafting for the Yorktown Town Hall where she lived for 26 years before returning to Corning to be closer to her sisters and ultimately moving to Connecticut to be close to her daughter and her family.  She was predeceased by her son, Gregory Pierce and husband, Pier Pierc…
