Five new officers were welcomed to the roster of Westchester County Police Department this week, being sworn in on Monday by acting Commissioner Martin McGlynn. Among the recruits who were sworn in are Officers Peter Carcaterra, Jeff Hunt, Adam Mietlowski, Mill Lau and Jason Washco, who were promoted in front of a crowd of friends, family and well-wishers. Northern Westchester Clerk Cited For Selling Alcohol To Underage Youth A Northern Westchester gas station clerk was cited recently for selling beer to a 16-year-old who was assisting Westchester County Police with alcohol compliance checks at businesses that sell alcohol. The underage youth, under the supervision of county police, was sent into 17 stores in Cortlandt to attempt to buy a six-pack of beer. He was able to purchase beer on one occasion and was turned away at the other establishments.
