Two-Alarm House Fire Breaks Out In Area A late-afternoon, two-alarm house fire broke out on the third story of a residence in the area. It happened just before 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 in Mahopac on Nicole Way. The blaze brought a full response from the Mahopac Fire Department with mutual aid from Mahopac Falls, Yorktown and Croton Falls fire departments and NYSE&G, as stations that were responding were covered by other neighboring departments.   Chief Bill Nikisher was Incident Command and positioned the Ladder Company in the driveway of the home to access the third story.  Carmel Police responded wi…

One Hospitalized In Two-Car Mahopac Crash One Hospitalized In Two-Car Mahopac Crash
One Hospitalized In Two-Car Mahopac Crash One person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a two-car crash in Mahopac. The crash took place around 9 a.m., Monday, in the area of 668 Union Valley Road, according to Mahopac EMS. Along with units from the Carmel Police Department, a call for a second ambulance from Mahopac Falls was dispatched.  Chief Bill Nikisher arrived on the scene with Mahopac EMS and assumed command as they began a triage of the patients.
