Suffern DWI Driver May Be Involved In Airmont Hit-Run
ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Suffern man was charged with DWI after being stopped by Ramapo police on Monday may also be involved in a hit-and-run crash in Airmont.Pedro Sunuc-Diaz, 58, was stopped around 2:30 a.m. when an officer noticed driving in an unsafe manner on Route 306 in Monsey, police said.
Upon initial contact with the driver, the officer noticed an odor of an alcoholic beverage on Sunuc-Diaz's breath, impaired coordination, and impaired speech, police said.
He was charged with DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation and other vehicle and traffic law violations, police said.
