Lakeland Student to Attend West Point, Play Lax

SHRUB OAK, N.Y. – A Lakeland High School student has received an appointment to the United States Military Academy.

In a ceremony held Feb. 3, student Christopher Monteferante committed to attend West Point, where he will play lacrosse for the U.S. Army's nationally-recognized program. 

Monteferante, who resides in Putnam Valley with his parents Debbie and Steve, is a standout in both lacrosse and soccer.
