Yorktown's Middle Schoolers Are Moving On Up

The eighth grade students at Mildred E. Strang Middle School celebrated the end of middle school and their journey into high school Thursday.

The commencement ceremony, held at Yorktown High School, took place three times during the day—one ceremony to accommodate each team of the eighth grade.

Students Traylor Drysdale and Olivia Battnelli delivered the commencement address.

Later on in the evening, the school’s parent teacher association sponsored a commencement celebration dance at Colonial Terrace from 7-10 p.m.
