He was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, which are both misdemeanors. He was also charged with failure to maintain lane and speed.
Police said the arrest was made after officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on Revere Drive, where, after investigation, Torres was arrested.
Torres was processed at the Yorktown Police Headquarters and was treated at Hudson Valley Hospital Center for injuries sustained during the accident. He was then released on his own recognizance to a family member, according to police.
He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Sept. 10 at 6 p.m.
