Yorktown Man Arrested In Theft Of Scrap Metal In Cortlandt

YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks charged a Yorktown man with petty larceny in connection to an alleged scrap metal theft on Sunday, March 2, police officials said.

Police accused Louis Davis, 40, of going to a residential address in the Town of Cortlandt for the purpose of taking scrap metal from an aluminum lamp post. Neighbors allegedly witnessed Davis and called 911.

Police believe that Davis may be responsible for other scrap metal larcenies in the Cortlandt area. Residents with any information regarding the theft of scrap metal in the Cortlandt area should call the State Police at 914-737-7171.
