Yonkers Woman Charged With DWI In Yorktown After Near-Miss With Patrol Car

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police have arrested a 34-year-old Yonkers resident for driving while intoxicated, amid allegations she nearly caused a crash with a patrol car.

A detective on a routine patrol observed a vehicle that allegedly failed to yield the right of way by making a left turn in front of the unmarked police car on Friday, Feb. 26, officials report. 

The detective allegedly had to take evasive maneuvers to avoid a collision with the vehicle that was turning, according to police.

After the vehicle was stopped and an investigation was conducted, a woman identified as Jessica Triscari was arrested, officials report.

Triscari was transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters and charged with DWI, an unclassified misdemeanor, and failing to yield the right of way, a traffic infraction, according to police.

After processing, the defendant was released to a responsible party, police report.

She is due back in Yorktown Justice Court for arraignment on Thursday, March 10, according to officials.
