New York State Police troopers busted a man from Putnam County for his third DWI during a stop on Route 202 in Somers.
Troopers stopped Carmel resident George Gojcaj, 45, at approximately 11:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29, after he made a violation while driving on Route 202.
Police said that further investigation determined that Gojcaj was driving while under the influence of alcohol, and with a suspended license. Additionally, Gojcaj was driving without a court-ordered interlock device in his car.
Gojcaj was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated with two prior convictions and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, both felonies. Gojcaj was remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail and is due in the Town of Somers Court on Sept. 10 to answer the charges.
