New York State Police troopers busted a man from Putnam County for his third DWI during a stop on Route 202 in Somers.

Troopers stopped Carmel resident George Gojcaj, 45, at approximately 11:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29, after he made a violation while driving on Route 202.

Police said that further investigation determined that Gojcaj was driving while under the influence of alcohol, and with a suspended license. Additionally, Gojcaj was driving without a court-ordered interlock device in his car.

Gojcaj was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated with two prior convictions and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, both felonies. He was also charged with a misdemeanor count of using a vehicle without an interlock device. Gojcaj was remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail and is due in the Town of Somers Court on Sept. 10 to answer the charges.
