Croton Man Charged with DWI after Accident

YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A Croton-on-Hudson man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following a one-car accident early Friday morning.

According to Yorktown police, Police Officer Michael Kahn was dispatched to an automobile accident on Croton Lake Road (Route 129) about 3:20 a.m. after a car struck a utility pole.

Patrick Begin, 31, of Croton was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. He was processed and released to a third party and is due in Yorktown Justice Court July 17.

In other police activity:

Sears Theft: On June 13 at 4:40 p.m., Yorktown police reported the arrest of 17- and 15-year-old females for shoplifting at Sears at the Jefferson Valley Mall. Police said the two stole $350 worth of merchandise from store displays. The 17-year-old was charged with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on July 12. The 15-year-old was charged with juvenile delinquency and is scheduled to appear at the Westchester Department of Probation on June 21.
