YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A 76-year-old Mohegan Lake resident was charged with leaving the scene of an auto accident, a misdemeanor, after he allegedly struck and injured a pedestrian in Shrub Oak.
Police responded to the call at 8:28 a.m. on September 13 and investigation concluded James P. Walsh, of 3177 Mohegan Ave., allegedly struck a pedestrian crossing the street with his blue Honda CRV. Witnesses of the accident followed Walsh to the parking lot of 600 Bank Rd, which is where police arrested him.
Walsh was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge on October 13 at 6 p.m.
The pedestrian involved sustained head injuries, and was transported by Mohegan Ambulance to Westchester County Medical Center in stable condition.

- Louis A. Vitucci, 20, from Yorktown was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, a misdemeanor. Police report that on September 11 they responded to a call of a domestic dispute, and stopped Vitucci's vehicle on Rt. 118 as a result of the complaint. Vitucci was arrested after a check with the Department of Motor Vehicles revealed his license was suspended. He was arrested on the charge and later released on $100 bail and is due to appear in court on October 13 at 6 p.m.
