During its monthly knitting circle, Support Connection provides time and space for women to begin or finish a knitting or crocheting project. They can rekindle the joy of creating while spending time with other women who have experienced cancer, according to a press release. Open to experienced crafters and beginners who wish to learn, the group is led by a knitting and crocheting instructor who is also a cancer survivor.
For newcomers, extra yarn and needles are available to get started.
The program is open to people living with breast, ovarian and gynecological cancers. Registration is required. To learn more or to register, call Support Connection at (914) 962-6402 or 800-532-4290.
