A 33-year-old man faces criminal charges after stealing $11,000 in cash from a Westchester home while the resident was away on vacation, police announced.
The incident that led to the arrest happened on Friday, April 19, when a man, who police did not name, illegally entered a North White Plains residence while the homeowner was away on vacation and stole money, the North Castle Police Department announced on Wednesday, May 1.

To accommodate Metro-North crews working to replace sections of track and switches in Grand Central Station, officials have announced schedule changes for Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven line trains.

A convicted felon reportedly admitted that he stabbed a former coworker in a Westchester Stop & Shop four years ago.
Joseph Joy, an ex-employee at Stop & Shop in North White Plains, has admitted to the stabbing in December 2016.
According to police, shortly after 5 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2016, Joy, a White Plains resident, entered the Stop & Shop location on North Broadway and attacked the employee with a knife, prompting several emergency 911 calls from her co-workers.

South Salem resident Robert A. Ettlinger, who grew up in Hastings-on-Hudson, died on Thursday, July 19 after battling cancer. He was 57.
He was a proud co-owner with Bobby Robustelli of A&A Auto Clinic in North White Plains and was a much-loved member of the community.
He enjoyed watching his sons wrestle and his daughter play soccer. Rob had a ready smile; he made friends easily, even in the hospital.
