Concetta "Connie" Monda Of Bridgeport Dies at 91
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Lifelong Bridgeport, Conn., resident Concetta "Connie" Monda died on June 8 at St. Vincent Medical Center at the age of 91.
Born in Bridgeport on Oct. 8, 1923 to the late Cesare and Lucia (Varchetti) Monda, the Central High School alum was an avid gardener and a longtime member of St. Margaret's Altar Guild. Monda served her country as a WAVE in WWII, and was a retired legal secretary.

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Jewish teenagers living in Larchmont, N.Y., and Mamaroneck, N.Y., have a new program to help them and their struggles with the “terrible teens" while preserving a piece of history.

Giuseppe "Joe" Licata, 77, Of Yonkers Passes Away
YONKERS, N.Y. -- Longtime Yonkers, N.Y., resident Giuseppe "Joe" Licata, 77, passed away on June 7.
Licata was born on Sept. 12, 1937 in Sciacca, Italy to the late Vincent and Josephine LaRosa Licata. A retired carpenter for the City of Yonkers, Licata is survived by his wife of 55 years Maria Mitrione Licata.
