Rye Neck High Boys Soccer Team Rallies To Beat Bronxville BRONXVILLE, N.Y. - The Rye Neck High boys soccer team hit the road Thursday to take on Bronxville - a team the Panthers eliminated in last year's Section 1 playoffs. Rye Neck rallied for two goals in the second to take a 2-1 victory after the Broncos grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first half.  Peter Gallagher, Donovan Dunning and Reed Peterson scored for the Panthers, who improved to 3-0. Luke Doukas had a goal for Bronxville, assisted by William Vranka.

Mahopac, Yorktown High Field Hockey Teams Square Off At Somers Tourney SOMERS, N.Y. - The Yorktown and Mahopac High School field hockey teams opened the 2016 season facing each other at the Somers Field Hockey Tournament Friday. Mahopac's experience put this one out of reach for the Cornhuskers, as the Indians rolled to a 5-0 victory. Mahopac twins Kim Brower and Julia Brower made their presence felt, with Kim scoring four goals, and Julia adding one.
