Police Investigating Triple Stabbing In Holbrook Police in Holbrook are investigating a triple stabbing that happened early Saturday morning, July 13.  Officers received a 911 call around 3:30 a.m. about the attack near 166 Longmeadow Drive, Holbrook police said.  When they arrived, police found two men and one woman suffering from stab wounds. Paramedics rushed the victims to an area hospital for treatment.  Authorities did not provide information on the severity of their wounds or updates on their conditions.  Officers do not believe this was a random attack and say there is no ongoing threat to the community.…

Newly Minted Millionaire: Billerica Man Claims Massive Win On $10 Ticket A Billerica man who recently won $1 million in the Massachusetts State Lottery said he plans to invest that money.  Mark Aucoin won the seven-figure windfall by playing the $10 scratch-off ticket “$2,000,000 50X Cashword." Related: $15.4 Million Lottery Ticket Given As A Birthday Gift Aucoin chose to take the lump-sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.  He bought the winning ticket at the Gulf gas station at 349 Great Rd. in Bedford. Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Child In Berkshire County Busted In Florida: DA A 43-year-old man was arrested in Florida and returned to Berkshire County to face charges that he molested a child, authorities said.  Omar Soto-Rincon was arraigned in Pittsfield earlier this week on the charge of indecent assault and battery on a person under 14, the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office said.  Prosecutors could not release any information about the alleged assault to protect the victim's identity.  Soto-Rincon was being held on a $5,000 bond, officials said.  He was arrested in Broward County, Florida.

Motorcyclist Killed In Groton Crash ID'd As 27-Year-Old Man Police have identified the 27-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a head-on crash earlier this week in Groton.  Cody Trudel, of Ayer, died after his bike was struck head-on along Boston Road just after 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said.  Investigators believe the driver of an oncoming car in the westbound lane veered into his lane. The 20-year-old Townsend driver of that car remained at the scene.  Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the crash. No charges had been filed as of Friday afternoon.

Autistic 4-Year-Old Central Mass Girl Drowns In Neighbor's Pool A 4-year-old autistic girl named Eva was found unresponsive in her neighbor's pool in Worcester County on Thursday, July 11, after she went missing from her home. She was pronounced dead at an area hospital a short time later.  Police in Sutton received a 911 call around 3:50 p.m. that the girl had gone missing in the Peachtree Drive area, the Worcester County District Attorney said. Officers quickly began a search and found the girl in the pool. 'He Brought Tremendous Joy': Western Mass 15-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In I-91 Crash The family of the 15-year-old Berkshire County boy who was killed last week in a crash on I-91 in Springfield was a loving and giving young man who had a bright future ahead of him.  Jayden Andre, of Lee, was killed around 4:30 p.m. on July 2 near exit 5 on the interstate. 'Depraved' Lynn Man Who Admitting To Sexually Exploiting Kids He Taught Gets Prison: Feds A 56-year-old Lynn man who admitted to sexually exploiting minors in Laos, where he worked as an English teacher and ran a help organization, will spend more than a decade in federal prison, authorities said.  Michael Sebastian was sentenced on Wednesday, July 10,  to 12 years in prison and five years of supervised release after that, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said.
