Lower Paxton Police Detective Dies Suddenly, Department Says A longtime member of the Lower Paxton Township police has suddenly and unexpectedly passed away, the department announced on Wednesday, July 24.  Detective Steven Wertz, 42, was off-duty duty when he passed away, officials with the department explained.
