WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Fans at the Westchester Knicks home opener Wednesday will see an exciting slate of in-game elements including performances by the Knicks City Dancers and appearances by several New York Knicks alumni.

The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, will tip off their inaugural home schedule at 7 p.m. at the Westchester County Center against the Canton Charge. Prior to the game, the national anthem will be performed by West Point Staff Sergeant Jeremy Gaynor, while the Department of Public Safety Ceremonial Unit will present the colors.

To tip off the first NBA D-League game at the County Center, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, Westchester Knicks general manager Allan Houston and Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino will be on hand to lower a Westchester Knicks banner from the rafters, signaling the start of the team’s inaugural home season.

A host of Knicks alumni will be on hand at the game, including Larry Johnson, Cal Ramsey and John Wallace. New York Liberty Legend Teresa Weatherspoon and former St. John’s standout Felipe Lopez will also be in attendance to help usher in the new era of Knicks basketball.

Each fan in attendance will receive a commemorative lapel pin to celebrate the franchise’s inaugural season in the NBA D-League. The New York Knicks Groove Truck, the team’s interactive promotional vehicle, will also be on location to welcome fans and offer prizes and giveaways.

Tickets for the Westchester Knicks are on sale now at Ticketmaster outlets and the Westchester County Center Box Office and start at $10. For information on season tickets and partial plans, visit or call (914) 559-6889.
