YONKERS, N.Y. - Monya Ferrara of Yonkers died Thursday, May 8. She was 82.
Ferrara was born May 23, 1931, to Elizabeth and Anthony Chayka. She was married to Jerry Ferrara.
Ferrara is survived by her daughter, Victoria (Eugene) Graham; two grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Lescynski and Anna Loverso; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Sunday, May 11 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:15 a.m. Monday, May 12 at St. John the Baptist Church, 670 Yonkers Ave. Interment at St. John's Cemetery (Middle Village).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Ferrara's name.
