Madeline M. Longo, 86, Yonkers Resident

YONKERS, N.Y. – Madeline M. Longo, a longtime resident of Yonkers, died Saturday, March 12. She was 86.

She was born in New York City to Joseph and Elizabeth Muller Braun.

She was a retired legal secretary and the first president of the Women's Auxiliary of Dunwoodie Youth Association (DYA) and a member of the St. Ann's Women's Auxiliary. 

She is survived by her children, Laura Nowierski, Joseph (Jeanne), James, Mat (Nancy) Longo and Lisa (Peter) Wojda; and grandchildren Lauren, Samantha, Jennifer and Paul Nowierski, Sarah, Christopher, Raymond and Breanna Longo, and AJ and Kaitlyn Wojda.

Her husband, Bruno Longo, died in 1980. She also was predeceased by her son, Raymond Longo and her brother, Jack Braun.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, March 15, from 5-9 p.m. at Flower Funeral Home Inc., 714 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 16,  at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
