YONKERS, N.Y. – Madeline A. Czerniowski, 74, a lifelong resident of Yonkers, died Saturday, August 22.
She was born to Frank and Madeline Mondesando Salciccia.
She retired from the Department of Motor Vehicles in Yonkers before becoming the supervisor of the crossing guards in the First Precinct in Yonkers until she became ill.
She is survived by her children, Cherie Czerniowski and Eric (Camille) Czerniowski; one brother; and two grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Flower Funeral Home Inc., 714 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, with visitation Tuesday, from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Aug. 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Church with entombment to follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum.
