Ann Roberto, 84, Retired Teacher's Aide, Of Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. – Ann Gloria Roberto of Yonkers and formerly of Mount Vernon died Dec. 8. She was 84.

Roberto was born March 7, 1928, in Mount Vernon to Marcello and Elisa Porcelli. Raised and educated in Mount Vernon, she worked as a teacher's aide for special needs children in the Mount Vernon school system.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph (Karen) Roberto, of Hopewell Junction, N.Y., and Anthony (Ann Marie) Roberto, of Mohegan Lake; a daughter, Kathleen Roberto, of Yonkers; two brothers, Archie and Joseph Porcelli; a sister, Mary Rindone; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony Roberto, in 1986; a brother, Vincent Porcelli; a sister, Gloria Damiano; and a grandson, Michael.

Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Sinatra Memorial Home in Yonkers. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ann’s Church in Yonkers. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in New Rochelle.
