Albert De Pierro Jr., 87, Of Yonkers, World War II Veteran

YONKERS, N.Y. - Albert De Pierro Jr., 87, of Yonkers, died Wednesday, May 6.

He was the son of the late Albert and Anna Costabile De Pierro of Mount Vernon.

De Pierro served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He later worked as a railroad technician for New York Central.

He was also a member of the Mount Vernon-Yonkers Elks Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, Albert (Johanna) De Pierro III and Kenneth De Pierro; one daughter, Lisa De Pierro; and one grandchild.

His wife, Louise Zottoli De Pierro, preceded him in death.

Calling hours are today, Friday, May 8, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Flower Funeral Home, 714 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, May 9, at the Church of Immaculate Conception, 53 Winterhill Road, Tuckahoe.
