Yonkers Library Seeks Public Input On Future Needs

YONKERS, N. Y. -- Yonkers Public Library officials are looking for ideas about how the system can continue to meet the needs of all users as technology continues to evolve, according to lohud.com.

All three branches of the Yonkers Public Library are holding three public hearings to get input on how to keep the library system useful and relevant.

Three public sessions have been scheduled for next week, and an online survey on the library's website also invites users to share their ideas. In addition to changing technology needs, library officials have also had to deal with aging buildings and funding issues to keep the public library system operating, lohud.com said.

The three meetings will be held at the three library branch buildings, lohud.com reported. 

The hearings are set for Tuesday, Feb. 23, from 2-3:45 p.m., at the Crestwood branch, 17 Thompson St.; and from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Riverfront branch, 1 Larkin Center; and on Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 7-9 p.m., at the Will branch, 1500 Central Park Ave.
