Nypd Psychologist Indicted In Husband's Attempted Murder In Yonkers

YONKERS, N.Y. – Emily Dearden, the New York Police Department psychologist arrested in November in the shooting of her husband in 2013 in their home in Yonkers, was indicted on attempted murder, first-degree assault and other charges, reports lohud.com.

Dearden, 46, who also was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and four counts of criminal possession of a firearm, faces a maximum of 25 years in prison for the attempted murder and first-degree assault charges according to the report.

Kenneth Dearden, 48, a developer and president of the Yonkers Downtown/Waterfront Business Improvement District, filed a lawsuit alleging his wife reportedly attempted to kill him while he slept on Friday, Nov. 14, so she could pursue a relationship with another man in Texas.
