YONKERS, N.Y. – A Catholic church that was closed last year under the archdiocese’s consolidation program has a new congregation and a new life, according to a report by lohud.com.
Most Holy Trinity R.C. Church has been adopted by the Indian congregation of St. Mary’s Malankara Catholic Church, which had been using a chapel in a Salesian school in New Rochelle to worship, lohud.com reported.
An inaugural celebration is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the church, 18 Trinity St., the lohud.com report said.
The congregation has not yet settled on a new name for the church, the lohud.com story said.
