The suggested residence at 10 School St. would be where there are three buildings and a pair of lots that are empty, from 10 to 28 School St. by Nepperhan Avenue, said lohud.com.
"Part of the building will have apartments for those who have had mental illness but are stable and can live independently," Bernadette Kingham-Bez, executive director at St. Joseph's Medical Center told lohud.com.
The balance would be affordable housing, giving preference to veterans from Yonkers, she told lohud.com.
