The ceremony is set to begin at 6 p.m. at the center and will include a short program and reception, according to a news release from the center. The center celebrated its one year anniversary at its Yonkers location earlier this year.

“We are very excited to host a celebration for our ‘silver’ anniversary at our [Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design] Gold certified home,” said Patricia Tursi, chief executive officer, in a news release. "For 25 years we have been dedicated to improving the lives of medically fragile children entrusted to our care, who face their medical challenges with dignity and grace each and every day. We could not do it without the inspiration, commitment, and prayers of the Sisters of Charity.”

The Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center, founded in 1987 by the Sisters of Charity of New York in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, provides "expert nursing and rehabilitation to some 350 medically fragile children and adolescents per year and is the first long term healthcare facility to receive the distinguished honor of being LEED Gold Certified," according to the release.
